I embarked on the exciting journey of a family home interior design project, reimagining a bathroom, playroom and underused landing for my clients:  a young family of four in their Victorian townhouse in South West London.

Blending traditional and contemporary

Their vision was clear: they longed for an opulent, brilliantly lit master ensuite. The key to achieving this was a harmonious blend of traditional elements and contemporary nuances, resulting in a bathroom that exudes the boutique hotel ambience they coveted.

To infuse character into the space, we scoured for a remarkable antique statue to transform a potentially mundane corner into an intriguing focal point. Additionally, we elevated a Renaissance-inspired rug to art, adorning the wall behind the roll-top bath. Our creative choices added a touch of sophistication and charm.

To introduce depth and intrigue, we designed a darker enclosure for the shower and steam room, transforming it into a sanctuary of relaxation. This remarkable design included added seating and fibre-optic ceiling lights, making the space even more impressive. The result felt like a luxurious retreat within the confines of their own home! It left my clients exceptionally happy.

A jungle-inspired playroom

I was tasked with crafting a jungle-inspired playroom for my clients' two young children. To infuse a sense of playfulness and character into the space, we incorporated a hand-painted mural that brought the room to life. Furthermore, sourcing plush hanging teddies and inviting pebble cushions ensured the playroom exuded an atmosphere of joy and imagination.

Creating a library in a forgotten space

Finally, we turned our attention to the previously underutilised top-floor landing. We transformed this forgotten space into a charming library by designing a bespoke bookshelf. This added character to the area and created a serene reading nook, inviting anyone to sit back, relax, and immerse themselves in a world of books and tranquillity.

Our designs and bespoke elements have transformed three key spaces in this beautiful family home, much to the delight of my clients.
